Stump Removal and Grinding
A takedown is not really finished while the stump is still squatting in the lawn. We grind it below ground level, and the yard gets to move on.
Stump removal and grinding is usually the finishing move after a tree removal: once the tree is down and the wood is hauled, the grinder takes the stump below ground level so nothing grows back and there is nothing left to mow around, trip over, or stare at. It works just as well as a standalone job for the stump the last storm, or the last owner, left behind.
The finish is your call. The grindings can backfill the hole so the lawn closes over the spot, or we haul them off and top the area off clean. Either way you end up with level ground you can mow straight across, plant over, or build on.

Asked About Stump Removal and Grinding.
Do you grind the stump when you remove the tree?
Stump removal and grinding is offered as an add-on with any takedown. Ask for it when we quote the job and it all happens in one visit, one cleanup.
How deep do you grind?
Below ground level, far enough down that the stump cannot regrow and the spot can be leveled and closed over. If you plan to replant or build there, tell us and we will grind accordingly.
What happens to the grindings?
Your choice. The grindings can backfill the hole for the lawn to grow over, or we haul them away and finish the spot clean. Say the word when we quote it.
